Designed for filmmaking, but equally effective for events, TV, theater and live performance, the EclFresnel CT+ series from Italian manufacturer Prolights represents a true revolution in LED Fresnels, offering numerous technical advancements and a wealth of features rarely found in this type of luminaire. IP Rating
All EclFresnel CT+ models are available in IP20 and IP65. The IP65 versions can operate outdoors or in humid and dusty environments, while maintaining a reasonable size and weight thanks to their optimized design. This protection also simplifies maintenance, as the fixture can be cleaned with a simple water jet. It is worth noting that the dimensions of the IP20 and IP65 versions are identical, and the weights of the IP65 models remain well controlled.
In indoor & outdoor versions
Light Source
The EclFresnel CT+ are equipped with a custom-designed 6-color LED source (Red, Green, Blue, Royal Blue, Mint, PC Amber) developed by Prolights, designed and manufactured in Europe. This ultra-high-performance source is very compact and, combined with an adequate optical system, gives the fixtures qualities of great finesse, reminiscent of the optical capabilities of a halogen or discharge Fresnel, both in terms of the perfection of the projected beam and the effectiveness of the barn doors. The advanced management of this source delivers qualitative light across the white range: CRI > 97 / R9 > 96 / TLCI = 94.

Colorimetry, Calibration and Optimization
The EclFresnel CT+ feature a new Spektra™ calibration, adapted and refined for this new series. Entirely developed by Prolights’ R&D engineers, this calibration categorizes individual light sources during the calibration process, allowing different luminaires to deliver an identical visual output within the same CIE1931 color space. Any Spektra™-certified luminaire precisely matches the whites and colors defined during manufacturing. This means no color or white temperature discrepancies when using a mixed kit. This advanced LED and colorimetry management enables rare features and performance: a white temperature range from 1,850 to 20,000 K (in 50 K increments), a virtual CTO applicable to all colors, a channel for transitioning from white to any hue, Green/Magenta level control, and tungsten emulation. Numerous color control modes are also available to easily meet any application and need: XY, CCT + GMP (G/M level maintained regardless of white), RGBW, RGB, HSI, Raw (individual control of each of the 6 source color components), or color macros. A wide range of gel correspondences is also offered (nearly 300 available filters from Lee Filters and Rosco Cinegel) combined with source emulation (2,700, 2,800, 3,000, 3,200, 4,000, 5,000, 5,600 or 6,500 K) allowing identical reproduction of frequently used hues with various halogen or discharge sources. The colorimetry management also enables the creation and recall of 4 user-specific presets.
The Spektra calibration also opens the door to new essential tools. The fixture allows the choice of working in specific color spaces: Standard, ProPhoto RGB, sRGB, Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709, in order to create identical and consistent hue and color temperature profiles within a complex lighting system. Depending on needs and applications, the fixture offers selectable management modes to optimize projected light quality:
High Brightness Mode: for maximum illumination levels (lux priority)
High Quality Mode: for the highest quality light (CRI, R9, TLCI and TM30 priority)
SSI Mode (planned for mid-2024): for the highest quality light when shooting with latest-generation digital cameras (SSI – Spectral Similarity Index priority)
Optical System
The EclFresnel CT+ optical system consists of a long-throw zoom coupled with a Fresnel lens. The entirely redesigned zoom features metal rack gears and an anti-slip mechanism for smooth and exceptionally precise movements. Custom-made for the fixture, the Fresnel lens is made of tempered glass and offers a highly diffused projection, similar to what you would achieve with a traditional Fresnel fixture—a quality impression that a PMMA lens can hardly reproduce. Also custom-designed, the 8-blade barn doors precisely define the beam edges and are included as standard with the luminaire. For specific needs, a filter holder is also included. Finally, the entire range can be fitted with SnapBag-type softboxes.

Control
The control protocols are numerous to adapt to all types of shoots: DMX512, RDM, CRMX, CRMX2, W-DMX, Bluetooth. Note that the LumenRadio CRMX TimoTwo wireless DMX module is optional on IP20 versions and integrated in IP65 models. One of the key strengths of the EclFresnel CT+ is full access to all features locally (manual mode). The user interface is based on a large color touchscreen paired with 4 RGB backlit rotary push encoders, providing access to desired settings in seconds. Ideal for ultra-fast setup during on-the-fly shoots without requiring an external controller.

PWM Frequency
The power supply PWM frequency is adjustable from 600 Hz to 40 kHz, preventing flickering effects even with the latest slow-motion cameras.
Dimming Modes
For dynamic applications with intensity effects, the EclFresnel CT+ offer 5 speeds and 6 dimming curves to meet all situations. The fixtures include tungsten emulation, allowing reproduction of the light “warming” effect obtained when reducing the intensity of a halogen lamp fixture.
Ventilation and Noise Level
To handle situations where the working environment must be as quiet as possible, the fixtures feature 9 ventilation modes: Auto / Turbo / Off / Manual + 5 Quiet modes.
Battery Operation
The entire EclFresnel CT+ range runs on mains power, but can also operate via a standard market battery (48 VDC), for on-the-fly capture such as interviews. A 3-pin XLR connector is available for this purpose.
Build and Mechanics
The EclFresnel CT+ are manufactured in extruded magnesium alloy, providing a combination of strength, durability, thermal dissipation and lightness. The fixture’s yoke is adjustable along the body to balance the weight according to the zoom aperture used. This adjustment can also reduce the overall footprint when rigging in a studio with a low ceiling. The zoom adjustment gear features a graduated indicator for precise focus setting.
Accessories
Finally, a few optional accessories complete the versatility of the EclFresnel CT+: an interchangeable yoke with pole-operated controls to adjust Pan, Tilt and zoom movements, making it easy to set up the fixture in studios without catwalks, and a PC lens for a more defined, halo-free beam.
