Trained at the Louis Lumière school, young cinematographer David Cailley (Les Combattants) delivers with The Animal Kingdom the remarkably accomplished cinematography of this particularly original science fiction film, directed by his brother Thomas Cailley.

Following its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, the film received twelve nominations at the 49th César Awards 2024 and won five trophies, including Best Cinematography. The Animal Kingdom is a spectacular thriller in which mutations in human genetics transform people into hybrid, half-animal creatures.
