Julien Raynaud

Trained on features and film stock, I took my first steps on set as a video assistant and then as a second camera assistant. I made the transition to first assistant camera through short films, then honed my skills in commercials and music videos, and now work full-time as a director of photography across narrative, documentary, and commercial. Today, I focus my work on close, intense, and sincere collaborations with directors whose artistic vision I share. I humbly strive to be involved in projects from their earliest stages, always considering the cinematographer’s role as a translator of the director’s visual language.
