The wait was long, but it was well worth it: our Leitz lens range is finally expanding with the arrival of the long-awaited HUGO lenses in our rental fleet.
Leitz lenses are renowned for their excellence and precision, and the arrival of the new HUGO lenses is a landmark event for us, as they meet so many of your needs.
The Leitz HUGO series stands out for its compactness and lightness. With a length ranging from 68 to 112 mm and a weight starting at 810 grams, these lenses are a dream for cinematographers seeking mobility without compromising quality. Their reduced dimensions and featherweight make them ideal for dynamic shoots and situations where agility is paramount.
Each lens in the HUGO range offers a T:1.5 aperture, enabling exceptional image capture even in low-light conditions. Moreover, a special version of the 50 mm offers a T:0.95 aperture, opening up even more creative possibilities. The rendering of these lenses is very close to that of the famous Leica R, adding a vintage touch to your images.
With a 270° focus ring throw and a standard iris ring, the HUGO lenses are optimized for intuitive and precise use. Their LPL mount, easily interchangeable to Leica M or L mount, offers unprecedented adaptability, effortlessly adjusting to various camera configurations from the Sony ALPHA to the ALEXA 35 or the Venice.
This versatility ensures that HUGO lenses can be used across a wide range of film productions as well as music videos, commercials and more.
The initial set of 7 HUGO lenses, Large Format, ranging from 21 mm to 90 mm, along with the upcoming 18 mm and 135 mm focal lengths, join the Summicrons already in our fleet, enriching our offerings with extended possibilities.
