The UCO is giving a voice to cinematographers working in documentary filmmaking, through an unprecedented survey.
Camera equipment, logistics, location scouting, pay, working hours, workload: everything that makes up the reality of our working conditions is addressed in this questionnaire, developed by the UCO’s Doc and Fiction working group.
Image professionals working regularly or occasionally in documentary, we look forward to your answers and experiences here:

This survey is part of a broader initiative by the UCO to document and improve the working conditions of cinematographers in documentary production. The results will be shared publicly and used to inform discussions with industry stakeholders and social partners.
The survey is open to all image professionals — whether you work in documentary regularly or only occasionally, your experience matters. It is entirely anonymous and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
