Biography
After studying science and political science, Pascal Montjovent became a Director of Photography. His filmography now counts over 300 diverse projects shot across the globe—from Morocco to Japan, Costa Rica to the Central African Republic, New York to Georgia, Australia, Hawaii, and Switzerland. Moving from film negative to digital cinema, then to real-time 3D and generative AI, he developed VR experiences that earned his team prestigious international awards for four consecutive years. He's written several screenplays and hundreds of articles and film reviews for Le Journal de Genève, Scènes Magazine, and La Tribune de Genève. Pascal chaired the Emerging Talent Award at the Locarno Film Festival for over ten years. He's been blogging about cinematic lighting since 2003 and teaches online courses on lighting in virtual worlds.
