The UCO breakfast meetings, which generally take place every first Wednesday of the month in Paris and remotely are ideal opportunities to get to know each other.
The UCO welcomes several types of members:
- Active members are professional directors of photography from all backgrounds who are familiar with the artistic, technical, and financial realities of our profession. They are in constant interaction with production, film direction, and other departments.
- Aspiring members are professionals who have chosen to pursue a career in cinematography. Admitted for a maximum of three years, which allows them to gain experience and a foothold, aspiring members work alongside active members within the organization, with whom they can exchange and interact in a privileged manner. During these three years, an annual review allows aspiring members to become active members, if relevant. Aspiring and student members must respect the parity and may not represent more than one-fifth of the UCO’s total members.
- Student members are pursuing academic or university training with the goal of becoming a cinematographer and are eligible for a maximum of three years. Aspiring and student members must respect the parity and may not represent more than one-fifth of the UCO’s total members.
- Associate members are professionals in related departments (G&E, opticians, camera assistants, etc.) who wish to contribute their knowledge and experience to the organization for a specific project, in collaboration with other UCO members.
By joining, future members adhere to the values upheld by the UCO. Students and aspiring members, please note the specific conditions of membership in the association as described in the internal rules of procedure.
After meeting, the membership becomes effective upon receipt of the membership fee and the membership form.
